Vanilla and Sandalwood
We take care in making sure your candle looks as good as it smells, so to avoid any unappealing soot marks on the container, we would recommend using a long match or a grill lighter to light your candle. These tools will also help to relight your candle when the wick has burnt down as it is easier to reach and safer for you.
To get the most out of your candles, don't burn it for more than 4 hours at a time. Also, give it time to rest and cool down before relighting it again - we would recommend two hours.
To get the longest possible burn time and enjoyment from your candle, we recommend that you keep your wick trimmed to a length of half a centimetre after each burn. Also, we recommend that on first lighting your candle that you keep it burned for around 2-3 hours which will ensure an even melt pool giving you an even and consistent burn.
Please only trim your wick once your candle has cooled down after extinguishing. Take care when trimming your wick and also be wary of any trimmings falling into the wax as this could become a fire hazard. A wick trimmer is the most efficient tool for this task.
OPTIMUM CANDLE ENVIRONMENT
To ensure that you get the most from your candle, we'd recommend you avoid burning it in any draughty areas or near any heat sources as this could cause the candle to burn unevenly or quicker than normal which will reduce the burn time. Avoid storing your candle in direct sunlight as this could melt the wax.
REPLACING YOUR CANDLE
I know that it's very tempting to get the most out of your candle and burn it to the bottom of the container, but this could cause the container to overheat. We'd recommend that you replace your candle when there is half a centimetre of wax left.
Please note that it is important to put your candle on a heatproof surface, away from any objects that could pose a fire hazard.
